Customer need: A soft, sterilizable fluid applicator pad capable of both holding and releasing sterilant from a disposable wand.
pinta solution: Using a thermal
process, pinta enhanced the capillary action of an open-cell foam to create a
reservoir pocket inside the foam pad. This action made the foam capable of
holding a prescribed amount of fluid as it was dispensed from the wand. With
slight pressure, the foam pad releases the fluid in a controlled flow for
smooth, even application.

Customer need: A stable yet flexible material for fluid collection and measurement on the floor
in operating room procedures.
pinta solution: A non-porous, foldable, polyethylene foam was chosen for its ability to flex
without cracking. The material also features "memory" which causes it to return
to its original shape, even after crushing, making it suitable for standing on,
or even rolling a chair across.
